Letter of the week

Cross country training

We have been preparing for the cross country by getting fit. Each day we do some exercise and today we ran around the court. When we went round once we got a stick. At the end of 10 minutes we counted our sticks and next time we are going to try to beat our own score.

Afterwards we used the iceblock sticks to make 2D shapes.

Geometry

This term we are learning about shapes and how to sort and describe them. Today we made some shape pictures.
The shapes we are learning about are
circle  triangle rectangle square oval pentagon hexagon octagon
and we liked the word nonagon.

Holidays

Hi Guys

I am at school today getting ready for next term. Yesterday I had a course at Shantytown. Next week I may go away for a few days.

Evacuation walk

Yesterday we practiced evacuating school in case there was a tsunami. We walked up the hill and we had to have our shoes on. It took us 10minutes to get there. Mrs Payne talked to us about if there was a tsunami. We were puffed so we had a break up the hill. We had questions about the tsunami. Then we walked back to school.
