Games from Room 6

Today Room 6 presented us with the games they made. They have been working very hard on them and they are very well made. We are so lucky.

Skate School

We had skate school today. We were allowed to have a go on roller blades, skateboards or a scooter. Some of us were very brave and tried roller blades.

Weather Balloon

Today we went up to the airport to watch the weather balloon be released. They let a weather balloon go 3 times a day.
The balloon is filled with hydrogen. Hydrogen is a very dangerous gas and it can explode. so it is filled up inside a metal hut. They put a tracker on the bottom of the balloon and that sends signals to the radar.

Helium Balloons

Today we went to the florist and Melissa filled up 6 helium balloons for us. We took them back to school and talked about them and then let them go. On Friday we are going to go and watch the weather balloon be released up at Hokitika airport. What do you know about helium gas?

Today we made and drew and wrote about slides. We used playdough, paint, boxes, and kidpix to make slides.
